MAPLE CORNBREAD

1-1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1-1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup maple syrup
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 egg

In a bowl, combine dry ingredients, set aside. In separate bowl, beat egg, add milk, syrup and oil. Stir slowly into dry ingredients just until moistened. Pour into greased 9" square baking pan. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cut into squares, serve warm.
